Fraud Report from the ACFE

The ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners) creates a yearly report that reveals the damage done by occupational fraud. Read the entire report HERE. The following are a few of ACFE’s findings:

More than half of all fraud reports came from employees.
Email or Web-based fraud reporting brought in significantly more fraud tips than phone hotlines.
Organizations with hotlines discovered fraud quicker and suffered less damage than organizations without a fraud reporting system.
Only 6% of people committing fraud had any previous fraud history.
